Monique and Cameron’s love story began on a beautiful spring day in Westfield Massachusetts. May 21st 2016. Freshman year of high school was newly finished and they had a summer to enjoy with friends. One mutual friend of the two decided to bring Monique and Cameron together playing match maker. They met by the Westfield Green bridges and suddenly it became a scene out of cinema. Their eyes met, the smile they shared sent sparks across the water. The wind ceased. The birds stopped their songs. The air around them froze as they grew closer. It was a match made in heaven.

That day lit the flame of their friendship. Together they explored nature, passing through woods and over rivers. They watched the water rush under the bridge, legs swinging off the side. The two young kids shared stories of their past and dreams of their futures. Both hiding their blushes. Hearts racing from their encounter and the unspoken bond between them.
Monique turned to Cameron, “What would you do if I fell in.” She pointed to the water.
“I’d jump in after you.” Cameron said without a second thought.

And that’s exactly what they did. They fell in love, one after the other. Willing to take that leap into the unknown.

They grew closer as friends throughout the summer and school year.
As the bond between them deepened, the unspoken love grew more perceivable. They had many unofficial dates as friends playing board games, swimming, and taking cruises through their home town.
They both feared the unknown, of taking that full leap into the waters of love.
After a winter apart the two reconnected over their love for nature, something that reminded them of that first day they met. On yet another unofficial date, in Otis Massachusetts after a fresh snow fall.
Their connection grew stronger and stronger as it was obvious to the both of them what journey was coming next.
During their exploration of Otis, Monique turned to Cameron, she was nervous she would slip and fall on the ice. Cameron assured her he would catch her if she did.
He did not.
Yet they laughed over the misstep.

Days later Cameron gained the courage to make it official. They fell into the unknown waters of love, together.

Even as sixteen year olds, Monique and Cameron knew their love was not a love that would fizzle out. It was a love that would stand the test of time. After almost a year and a half of sharing their souls with each other, including many talks about marriage. Cameron knew that this was his soul mate. He knew from the day they sat on that bridge and now was the time to take that next leap into love. On June 15th 2018, under the tree of life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Cameron got down on his knee and asked the girl of his dreams to marry him. As you all know, she said yes.
Together they decided to wait until after college to tie the knot.

Now, nine years since the blessed day that the two met, eight years since the day they decided to begin their journey as partners, they are to be married.
Eight years full of laughter and love, discovering each other’s passion of God, family, traveling the world, cinema, storytelling, and much more. Their futures were entangled, their ambitions encouraged by one another as they look ahead to the bright futures that the Lord has in store for them.
Monique and Cameron are grateful for all of you joining them on this special day. The day they turn the page on a new chapter in their love story. They have been blessed with each other and with the privilege of being in each one of your lives.
